A new year will shortly be upon us so now is the time to put together a plan for 2023 which incorportates your major competitions for 2023.
With the FINA World Masters Swimming Championships commencing on 2 August 2023, now is the time to start your preparations. Even if you won’t be competing in those championships, the basic principles of preparing a plan are the same. All that is needed are the dates.
mywaterworld.life has designed a multiple stage season plan which is easily adaptable for your 2023 racing schedule. It is designed to ensure you can perform to your ultimate capacity by setting up a multi-phase plan to take you though a number of championship events and competitions in 2023.
The high level plan you see below is the one designed for masters swimmers in Tasmania and is based on two of their major events plus the FINA Worlds.

Underlyig this plan (the macro cycle), sit meso- and micro-cycles. While those cycles are tailored to the major events displayed above, the plan can easily incorporate additional race meets by the scheduling of lighter training weeks (which the planning provides for). Additionally, the application of consistent design principles results in a plan template that is readily adaptable to your specific major competitions.
mywaterworld.life can tailor a high level plan for you. Contact us by email, setting out your major events dates, and we will get back to you withinn a week.
In the meantime, subscribers that are on the Training Program Distribution list are being sent their training programs each day – every effort is made to issue them by 06:30 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) which means that our European friends receive them the evening before. If the demand is there, the programs can be issued 12 hours earlier.
