The site is is the creation of Maciej Sługocki, a masters swimmer from Hobart, Australia. It has been created to meet a need, identified by masters swimmers, for news and technical material for both coaches and competitors – material that is not accessible from another dedicated site such as this one. Unless otherwise attributed, all articles and blogs are by mywaterworld.life and do not claim to represent any other organisaton’s views.

About Maciej

Maciej has extensive experience as a competitor, a swimming teacher and a coach.

Maciej is a former World Aquatics (previously FINA) 3 km open water and 800m freestyle champion, has broken 19 Australian and over 300 Masters Swimming Tasmania records. Maciej competes regularly in meets across Australia and overseas and has won National championship events in the USA, France, Poland and Australia. Maciej has also achieved a large number of FINA world top ten rankings over the years including a current (3 March 2023) all time top ten linsint in one of his pet events, the 800m freestyle

Maciej swimming teaching and coaching experience commenced in Hobart when he was a volunteer community swimming teacher with the Virgilians Amateur Swimming Club. Maciej now conducts specialist personalized Drill and Technique Improvement sessions at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre.
